Yes, everyone has limitations to what he or she can do with natural strength, we therefore require additional strength. There are burdens we cannot carry except we are strengthened. There are also responsibilities we cannot face except we are strengthened. We are indeed all too weak for many things that are required of us!

Similarly, there are limit to human help  they can promise but not able to perform, they may be willing, but not capable, they may be desirous but hindered. At times too, they may help but not sufficiently, therefore we all need help. Above all, life if characterized by storms of temptations, trials and troubles that even those who look strong are often pulled down. We have heard over and over again of stories of defeat and failure of many people. Many have been cut down by the fierce wind of persecution and intimidation; therefore we need the promise “… I will uphold thee…”

Friend, are you weak and afraid to face the responsibilities ahead of you? Are human help insufficient, unavailable or even failing you? Are you afraid you will fail in the tasks ahead? Are you being shaken by the storms of life and have doubts filled your hearts because of what you are going through? Then remember this trinity of promise “… I will strengthen … I will help … I will uphold …”

Challenge:       Man's limitation is God's opportunity

Prayer:             The Lord is my strength and salvation
