The word of God is rich. It is the wealth of all wisdoms, the custodian of all knowledge and the embodiment of the absolute truth. The scripture contain right counsel for the confused, words of comfort to the sorrowful and precepts of peace to the troubled. Read the bible and receive light to lighten your path. Search the scriptures and source out the hidden treasures of ancient days. Meditate on the words and your mind becomes filled with manna that comes from heaven. No book can be compared with the Bible. It is so united in content, united in context and undiluted in counsel. It is a holy book without a single error. It is a book you must read everyday.

The physical food you eat does your body a lot of goods. There cannot be growth without food and human body will be attack by diseases. The word of God gives your soul spiritual food too. It is not possible together grow or be healthy spiritually without proper feeding on the word of God. Apostle Peter by inspiration of God said, “As new born babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.” (Peter 2:2). The word of God therefore remains spiritual strength and vitality for believers in Christ. It is a book with unique mission to the household of faith. It must be read prayerfully, purposefully and persistently.

Before you go out today, read a portion of the Bible. Read it with great expectation and good understanding. Find out what promises are there for you to claim, what warnings are there to head and what corrections you are to make in your life. The portion could also provide guidance for you or counsel for specific area of your life. It is very profitable to read the Bible everyday of our lives. Make sure you read the Bible daily, it will do you good in your life endeavours.

Challenge:       The words of God are pure and perfect
