  GOD'S GRACIOUS GIFT

Wouldn't it be wonderful to you if a friend sends you a gift? It is often amazing to freely receive a precious thing without payment. Then, how do you feel if the Governor of your state sends you a gift? You will possibly be more excited, right? What happens then if the President of your nation gives you a gift? You will feel elated and honoured! What about a gift from God?

Getting an answer to the last question is taken lightly by many youths. They always think they have many years ahead to enjoy before thinking about God. It is really an act of folly for a mortal being to postpone the urgent need of his soul. The soul's thirst is God and nothing else can satisfy it. God knows this great need of man and has made provision for it in Christ. It does not require any struggle at all. The gift of eternal life you need is provided in Christ Jesus, our Saviour. All you need to do is to receive Jesus into your life.

Salvation comes by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8,9). The Bible calls it the gift of God. It is a gift that is graciously bestowed upon everyone that believe and confess Jesus Christ as Lord (Romans 10:9,10). Jesus is the power that breaks the shackles of sin, sets man free from Satan and makes him a son of God (John 1:12). This gift is available to any one believes. Today can become a memorable day in your life if you will believe. Take the following steps before you pray: * Genuinely repent from your sins and turn away from them. * Surrender your life to Christ and make Him the Lord of your life. * Live for Christ daily in prayer, witnessing and fellowshipping with other believers.

Challenge: No gift is greater than soul's salvation.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me the gift of eternal life and make me your child.
