Many houses are fenced with gates fixed to protect lives and properties that indeed are very valuable. Primarily, the need for free entrance and exit coupled with ventilation made all houses to have doors and windows. But experience has shown that thieves and burglars make use of doors and windows to gain entrance into houses to carry out their wicked acts. In order to keep thieves and burglars away from houses, burglarproof are introduced; iron doors are fast replacing wooden ones. Householders do not toy with gates and doors; they keep them under lock and key to prevent intruders.

The bible says Satan is a thief. He comes as a thief 'to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  His aim is to steal your peace and joy of salvation. He aims at killing the life, the favour, and the freshness of God's love in your heart. This is the reason why Jesus informed Peter, “Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat”. Satan is targeting the glorious relationship between you and God; he wants to terminate your hope of heaven. He is always seeking an entrance into your heart to pollute, corrupt, deceive or defile your cleansed and pure heart. Like any other thief Satan through the gate- eye, ear and mind gates- comes to believers to make them fall from their steadfastness. Watch out! All through today and every day of your life never allow the Thief (Satan) to employ your eyes, ears, mind and mouth to tempt and get you into sin. Turn your ears away from hearing evil and stand on guard at the gateway of the eye and ear and every sense, lest sin get into your heart through unguarded ways. What you feed your eyes with, thoughts you allow on your mind, words you speak with your mouth and information you permit into your ears will go a long way to determine if you will be a victorious Christian or not. You will overcome.

Challenge  Keeping your eye, ear, mind and mouth gates closed will

assist in daily victorious Christian living.

Prayer: Dear Lord, grant me grace to have the rule over my mouth, mind, ear and eyes.
